The Balance Club / Culture Kollektiv invites you to a superlative concert experience on Thursday, 28.11.2024. 🔥
For one of the last live concerts at IfZ (which unfortunately has to close at the end of the year), Balance is presenting one of two German shows by Latin American neo-perreo phenomenon Six Sex.
Even if you don't know the "Queen of the Perreo Rave" yet, you won't be able to escape her style between Euphorix-Latin-Club sounds, Reggaeton, Elekto and Slutcore. Find out what the whole thing has to do with a home trainer at IfZ!
Booty shakes guaranteed.
No less exciting, but in a completely different way, is the constantly evolving project Zouj by producer and multi-instrumentalist Adam Abdelkader Lenox.
Following the release of his first critically acclaimed mixtape "Tagat" in 2022, combining French house, aggressive 808s and Arca-esque production, Zouj toured Europe and the UK a year later with his experimental, pop-oriented EP "Metal" (City Slang Records). In 2024, Adam mainly produced for other artists and his own project fell silent until he recently discovered an oriental workstation/synthesizer in the Moroccan oasis of Figuig on the Algerian border. After a year of research and recording, Zouj, together with visual artist and VJ Kim0slice (Karim Hegazy), will give his only concert in 2024 in Leipzig, the city that shaped his early adult life - and therefore his work. For this occasion, Zouj will exclusively present new cuts, unreleased tracks and work in progress.
Third in the line-up is NYYA, a darling of the Leipzig music scene! NYYA has been making music since the 2nd grade. Back then she was a big Avril Lavigne fan with a guitar (we feel!), but she started her musical career with cover versions of pop and RnB songs on the ukulele. Since NYYA's inspiring collaboration with producer Rattenjunge, the musician and songwriter has arrived in the rap and hip hop game - but here she maintains her eminence. NYYA's songs are about the really big issues: Self-empowerment in this shitty world, mental health and community. With 13 semesters of cultural studies under her belt, NYYA has now finally swapped Leipzig for Berlin. So we're all the more pleased to bring NYYA back to the IfZ for our Live Music Night: even if it's only for one night.
