Job advertisement: Door/ guest services (short-term employment)
The Institut fuer Zukunft has been in existence since 2014 and organizes around 140 events a year. These include club nights, concerts, talks, performances and exhibitions. We are organized in working groups (AGs) and offer various opportunities for participation. We see ourselves as a progressive club where, in addition to the night work, there is a lot of discussion within the heterogeneous crew.
We are currently looking for people who want to strengthen our crew in the area of admission and guest support/door and who want to actively participate. The minimum consensus for us is anti-fascism, anti-racism, a feminist approach and a clear stance against anti-semitism. We strive for a diverse team that can complement each other's strengths and want to empower FLINTA* people in particular. We all bring different perspectives to the table and want to act in a de-escalating and sensitive manner appropriate to the situation at hand. We are aware of our physical appearance and our language and try to reflect on this together and individually. A solidary, needs- and victim-oriented approach is important to us both within the entire IfZ crew and in our work practice. In addition to working at night, we organize ourselves in regular grassroots democratic plenary sessions, where criticism takes place in an appreciative and respectful framework. It is important to us to take different realities of life into account and to critically examine our own prejudices.
